The San Antonio Spurs rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-112 on Thursday night. Devin Vassell led the way for San Antonio with 25 points, while Victor Wembanyama added 23 points and 10 rebounds.
The Timberwolves were led by Rudy Gobert, who had 16 points and 21 rebounds. Anthony Edwards also scored 20 points for Minnesota.
The Spurs trailed by 95-85 with less than six minutes remaining in the game, but they went on a 14-2 run to take the lead. Vassell hit a three-pointer to give San Antonio a 98-97 lead with 2:32 left, and the Spurs never trailed again.
The Timberwolves had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Edwards' three-point attempt bounced off the rim. San Antonio rebounded the miss and held on for the win.
The victory was the Spurs' second in a row and improved their record to 5-7. The Timberwolves fell to 7-5 with the loss.
