USA Basketball is the favorite to win gold

The USA Basketball men's team is the prohibitive favorite to claim its fifth consecutive gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Led by LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and 10 other members of the NBA's elite, Team USA will be tough to beat.

The Americans will be in Group C alongside Serbia, South Sudan, and the winner of the Last Chance Tournament. Serbia is the only team in the group that has ever defeated the United States in international competition, so they will be a tough test for Team USA.

The United States women's basketball team is also a favorite to win gold in Paris. The Americans have won the last seven gold medals in women's basketball and will be looking to extend their streak to eight.

The Americans will be in Group A alongside Canada, Serbia, and the winner of the Last Chance Tournament. Canada is the only team in the group that has ever defeated the United States in international competition, so they will be a tough test for Team USA.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will be the first time that basketball has been played in the Olympics since 2016. The sport was not included in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
